STUCK

Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, many talented and creative filmmakers were forced to stay home. However, physical isolation doesn’t have to mean a lockdown of the arts.

Fledge contacted some of Belgium’s most talented filmmakers to embrace the limitations of the quarantine, and to create a story that transcends the documentarian approach to this unprecedented global isolation.

Director Maria Leon wrote a narrative that resonates with everyone experiencing mental struggle during the quarantine. The story follows a young woman stuck in her apartment, desperate to get out yet fully aware of the personal responsibility she has as an individual in this global pandemic.

The short film was made by all the crew members working from their own homes. It is intended to be an ode to creativity and to remind people that beautiful things can happen no matter what the restrictions are.
